LG has revealed several monitors that debuted at the Virtual CES event, and one of them was a completely new format on the market. The new dualup monitor company has an unusual 16:18 aspect ratio. This is a vertical display with a resolution of 2,560 x 2,880-pixels called LG “Square Double QHD.” When you use the vertical split view function, dualup it looks like you put two 21.5 inch monitors on top of each other.

This can be a better form factor than a typical monitor if you constantly have to see information on several windows or screens to work or for other reasons. In the announcement, LG said the model would help reduce side-to-side head movements that caused neck pain. Dualup is also intended to save space and will be sent with the LG Ergo holder that clamps to most tables and tables. Other features of the Nano IPS monitor include 300 nits brightness, 1000 contrast ratio 1000: 1 and HDR10 support.

Besides Dualup, LG also introduced Ultrafine, a 32-inch 4K UHD monitor. It has a more conventional aspect ratio, but is the first to use LG Black IPS panel technology, which allows a 2,000 contrast ratio: 1. The company will reveal more about the two premium monitors on their virtual press on January 4. It is not known at this point whether LG will still drive through physical experience at CES 2022, assuming the event will still occur despite the threats caused by the Omicron variant. It plans to display a list of new items during the conference other than this monitor, including the soundbar with the middle fire extinguisher speaker, wireless TV on wheels and OLED TV with a motorized cover.
