Gasoline and diesel prices remain stable on July 29. The tariff remains unchanged since the center trimmed customs in gasoline and diesel on May 21. While the price of gasoline is reduced by RS 8 per liter, diesel prices fall by RS 6 per liter in this country. In Maharashtra, the price of fuel was cut last week after the state government reduced the value added value (VAT) in gasoline and diesel respectively with RS 5 and RS 3 per liter.
After seeing marginal differences like that, many states still have high prices with more gasoline sales than RS 100 per liter. Except a little, the price of diesel in big cities remains above RS 90 per liter. With high fuel rates, middle class families continue to face financial difficulties.
On July 29, the price of gasoline and diesel in Delhi respectively was RS 96.72 per liter and RS 89.62 per liter. Despite witnessing the reduction in customs and taxes forced by the state, the price of gasoline and diesel in the capital of the state finances, Mumbai continues to be high. While gasoline is sold in RS106.31 Perper Liter, the price of diesel in the city is currently in RS94.27 PER liter. At the same time, in Kolkata, the price of gasoline and diesel stands in RS 106.03 per liter and RS 92.76 per liter, while Chennai people pay RS 102.63 and RS 94.24 per liter for gasoline and diesel, each.
